Comparing the challenges of AS production work and A2 production work

The challenges of AS production work were similar to the A2 production work our group had to do, this is due to things such as the editing we had to do and also the types of shots and the amount of work we had to put into making it a good project. The challenges we were faced were dead lines had to be met to make sure we were on target and this meant we had to use time consistantly and put alot of work and ideas into our production. The differences between AS and A2 is that the AS work didn't consist of the same editing style as last year my group didn't use fast cuts and also alot of special effects, whereas doing a dub-step video needed to have special effects to meet the criteria of the modern age type of music. The challenges we were faced was the editing as we had to use many fast cuts, as we linked this to the beat and also when shooting the music video we had to find the right places to film it as we needed a urban scene to match our music choice.

The nature of the task was different as the AS production work consisted of more of a story line as it was a mini film, whereas our music video needed more ideas as the fast cuts and montage in our video needed to be creative and imaginative and link the music itself which was dub-step and dub-step is a modern type of music which could end up being anything within its videos, which made it more difficult then the AS work as the AS work could be planned out carefully and the locations it was shot were known instantly due to what type of film it would be E.G. Crime, Drama or action. This is different to the music video as we had to link it to the type of music used. Also the amount of work put into the A2 music production was much more as the blog needed to be in more depth and also the amount of editing was much more then AS, but overall both AS and A2 needed many ideas and both were difficult in there own ways. And the style of filming was different as hand-held was often used in the music video to build tension and more action.

The challenges of AS production work and A2 production work are many, as there were many small challenges we as a group had to face and big challenges. But working as a team is key and communication had to be used, and each individuals talents needed to be used at full potential such as editing, camera filming and performing.
