Using technology to make our video

We used technology in our project by using the Internet to search for our locations by using Google maps. Once we decided on the location we went out to take pictures of the locations to help us to show that we did research before we started filming. Then the next lesson we decided we wanted to start filming and we used the digital cameras with tripods to make our scenes still to do our video. But also we used handled to create the scenes to show the effect of chase as our video is centred on two men hunting a rabbit and we wanted to the audience to feel the effect of the chase. Also we wanted to show tracking shots of the men jumping through walls and we felt that we could get the same effect while using the tripod as this limited the speed at which we could follow the two performances’. Also; the digital cameras allowed us to see our footage so we could re-film if we didn’t get the effect we would have expected this I thought was a great help to us as we didn’t have to wait long to see how each shot went so we could instantly re-shoot and get the right effect that we wanted.

However, because of the fact that we were filming out in town we didn’t have as much technology as we could have if were performing in the studio, which we would have more equipment and the ability to change, the lighting so we also had to decided the day and time we wanted to perform and we had to decide if the area that we were filming was suited for the video that we would be filming. Also because of the fact that the cameras that we were using weren’t expensive we had make sure that had re-shoot each scene to make sure that we had good quality video.
